On behalf of the National Growth Fund (NGF), which is sponsored by the National Growth Fund (NGF), the Netherlands is the forerunner in regenerative agriculture due to the Re-Ge-NL project.
The objective of this €20 billion budgeted enterprise for the period between 2021 and 2025 is to restore agriculture, where human and environmental health are balanced, by the use of innovative methods.
Coupled with the above, a system is already in place in the Netherlands the Re-Ge-NL program, which helps more than 1,000 farmers shift to regenerative strategies such as crop rotation and no-till soil preparation.
With the aid of these techniques, the farmers can generate money whose excess can be channeled to other sectors of the ECO-AGRI-FOOD sector besides the value addition of the natural resources that are there with them.
The introduction of regenerative agriculture to the university’s ecosystem is engendered by the cooperation of universities, farmer organizations, and technology providers in both research and technology.
The main objective is to transform the current distribution of resources by 2030-2040 while at the same time being the pioneers of environmental regulation at the international level.
Due to their clear vision of sustainable agriculture and their household’s economic well-being, the Netherlands will continue to be at the forefront of these efficient methods that contribute to global warming and food insecurity resolution for a long time.
